Welcome to Hillcrest Elementary School, home of the Hurricanes!

Welcome to a new school year at Hillcrest Elementary! Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, we are so glad you're a part of our Hurricane family, a community built on connection, care, and a shared commitment to excellence.

As your principal, it is my honor to serve a school that I know well, one built on strong relationships, high expectations, and a deep commitment to the success of every child. I am excited to partner with you to ensure a school year filled with meaningful learning, growth, and achievement for all students.

At Hillcrest, our mission is to inspire our Hurricanes to be brave, wonder, and explore, empowering them to create, connect, and achieve. This mission is reflected in all that we do, from our classroom practices to our school-wide celebrations and community traditions.

We are also guided by our Portrait of a Hurricane, which shapes the character and culture of our school. Each day, our students strive to be:

Our mascot, Breezy the Hurricane, brings these traits to life and reminds us that together, we can face challenges, celebrate growth, and rise to our full potential. At Hillcrest, we work together to make excellence a BREEZE by striving for our best and supporting one another along the way.

We celebrate student success and positive contributions through Community Meetings, where we honor Students of the Month and classrooms that exemplify our character word of the month. Spirit days, school events, and everyday classroom experiences provide many moments for our students to shine.

This daily tradition reminds us of who we are and what we value. With our mission, values, and community spirit leading the way, we are ready to make this school year one of excellence, joy, and achievement.
