Welcome to Hillcrest Elementary School, home of the Hurricanes!

 

As your principal, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Hurricane family, filled with amazing students and outstanding staff members. At Hillcrest, we are dedicated to providing authentic learning experiences that empower our students to create, connect, honor, and achieve. At Hillcrest, you will engage in and discover endless possibilities for growth. 

 

Our mission is more than words on a page—it is the backbone of our school community. We believe in fostering a nurturing environment where every student feels valued and inspired to reach their fullest potential. Here, we emphasize community and connection, understanding that together, we can achieve great things.

 

School pride is at the core of what we do. We celebrate our students' actions and achievements through Community Meetings which honor Students of the Month and classes who exemplify our character word of the month. Whether it's through spirit days, special events, or daily classroom activities, we are committed to recognizing and applauding the hard work and commitment of our students.

 

Each morning during announcements, we join together to recite our school pledge, reminding ourselves of our shared values and the importance of being part of the Hillcrest Elementary School family, where we…care about our school community, make mistakes so we can learn, learn so we can succeed, succeed so we can help others, and help others so we can make our world a better place. 

 

By starting each day with our school pledge, a positive mindset, and our Hurricane slogan, "Make today a breeze," we encourage each other to approach challenges with confidence and resilience, knowing that we have the support of our Hurricane family behind us.

 

I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead and the incredible experiences they will bring. Together, let's make every day at Hillcrest Elementary a breeze, filled with learning, growth, grit, and achievement.
